Laurin Koster

Introduction

This site is an expansion of the dedicated Laurin 32 Homepage to also include the Laurin 22, 26,28, 31, 38s plus some of the many wooden yachts constructed by Arvid Laurin according to the "Koster Rule"

The objectives are to focus on all Arvid Laurin's "Koster" designs, giving:

Presentation of the boats
Production overview
Boat- and Owner Register
Photo Gallery
Etc.

The content of the original Laurin 32 Homepage can´now be found, using the "Laurin 32 navigation" botton.

All "proactive" work will continue to be on the Laurin 32, whereas information on the other designs will be dependant on input from current or previous owners. This could of course change, if someone - with a specific interest in these classes - step forward as "Class Ambassador" and do a proactive job in improving the current data...                                                Contact for feedback

Laurin Koster Picture of the Month

"Mary Lou" - Here on a very nice Spinnaker run. She is owned by the Webmaster and the picture is added for two reasons: 1) He thinks the picture is nice and 2) No Laurin pictures are being send in....so Please send in new Laurin Photos...

 SOS – INFORMATION WANTED - L32

L32 in Norrort, Sweden

An advertisement appeared on the Internet for only one week. It was a completely stripped hull of a L32 MK I from 1964. The boat has been on shore in Norrort. for 10 years.

This L32 can only be one of the following three:

  1. "Tjoo Hoo" - Build no. 1 (KR S 666) - originally owned by Gunnar Cardell, who was working in MFI.
  2. "Fools Paradise"(H7 S37) bought by 2 guys around 1992

Värmdö 2005

This MK2 was for sale in Värmdö, Sweden in July 2005. What is her name ? and where is she today ?

"Beluga"

NO Information is available for this L32, but for this photo. The Name is obviously "Beluga" and is most likely a MK2 due to the Winch Consoles.!

L32 - KR S 1681 "Amadea" from Gamleby has "disappeared". Who knows where she is ?

8 "lost" German L32s:   See this page for information in German

Who knows Gunnar Beckman from Upplands Väsby, who seems to have owned a L32 called "La Traviata" during 1970-78 ?

About 30 boats missing...Assistance needed. See the current status on this page...

Lost Boats:

No 1: Knut-Otto Rosander bought "Doris Maria" in 1974 as a replacement for a L28 he had lost. Could be holding the same name...

No 2: During a storm near Australia around 1995, a Swede - Lasse ? - lost his boat. He returned to Sweden and bought "Hulda" and disappeared... He is assumed to have continued his Blue Water sailing.

Who knows more about the above ?

The above 2 pictures have now been on this page for 5 and 9 years respectively.....    One can wonder why NO ONE seems to have any information.
