This boat is called a Laurin 26. However, the initiative for the construction her is entirely with Kenneth Back, Sweden. Despite the fact, that Kenneth consulted Arvid Laurin for his opinion and that he
re-designed the under water part, it can - at most - be called a 50/50 Bach/Laurin and the correct name would have been a "Laubach 26"...
Short History: The L26 was initiated by a wish to "reproduce" the 26 ft. Laurin Koster - "Elisabeth II" - in Fiberglass. Kenneth Back reworked the original drawings. The changes made
entailed: Widening the aft and creating more space below by lifting the cabin hight. The rigging was changed too.
Kenneth Back produced the plugs and the first 17 boats were produced in Landskrona, Sweden, after which the production was moved
