Introduction

The wooden Laurin Koster was build during a period of over 30 years. It is questioned whether the exact number of Kosters ever being build will ever be known. This Page will try to gather information about as many as possible, which will take a VERY long time... Success can only be achieved if current and former owners with detailed knowledge come forward with information.

Some of the information on this Page could be inaccurate and our sensere hope is, that our knowledgeable audience will "chip-in" with corrective- and completing information.

Phase 1 of this "project" will concentrate on the most common type of them all, i.e. the 3,2 ton - or 28 Ft - Koster. and the 4,5 ton

Laurin Koster 3.2 ton: It is currently assumed that well over 60 boats have been build, 30 of which seem to have been build in the most productive Shipyard for Laurin Koster of them all - Rosättra Varvet. The first one was "Alhena", build for Bernhard Fischer in 1953. This was followed by the SxK Lottery Boat, which was later known as "Lileca" when Lennart Brunnhage bought her from the winner.

Although, these boats were build to almost the same drawing, their looks and dimensions differ, which can be observed from below overview

Laurin Koster 4.5 ton: Please find below the register of known boats.

Larger Laurin Kosters: For the time being the remaining of Arvid Laurins wooden Koster Boats will not be displayed except some few photos.
